LED wall packs are powerful lighting systems, durable and weatherproof, suitable for exterior locations. They have heavy-duty polycarbonate or glass lenses and are made of die-cast aluminum, which ensures protection against the elements and efficiency even in very low temperatures.

LED wall packs are commonly used for large spaces (sports fields, outdoor parking lots, building facades or parks and public gardens). They are very reliable, have a long service life and can be used for up to 50,000 hours.

In the lighting industry, LED wall packs represent an evolution of technology. Their operation is not based on bulbs filled with gas at high pressure, but on LEDs generating the light. LEDs do not heat up as much as traditional light bulbs and that is why one of the main advantages for which they are so popular nowadays is that they do not consume much energy. On top of that, the light they emit also has a very precise color, suitable for recreational activities as well as for use in different business and industrial, when necessary.

How do LEDs work? To produce light, LEDs in LED wall packs use a process called electroluminescence. This process occurs when energy passes through the semiconductor materials inside the LEDs. The passage of electrical signals through semiconductor materials triggers the electrons inside, but because they are too large to go further, in order to shrink, they release a photon, a particle of light, which allows them to slip to the other side. And so, the LED starts to light up. The electroluminescence process is much less demanding than lighting a traditional bulb and therefore energy consumption is much lower.

Although the light emitted by LED wall packs appears to be white, in reality it is a combination of red, green and blue light, emitted by the LEDs inside. Combined, these colors generate a light very close to white that is reflected in a series of tiny mirrors or through display layers. Thus, we can say that LED wall packs work the same as wall packs with traditional bulbs, the only difference being the lighting source.

What are the advantages of LED wall packs? We have already listed some advantages of LED wall packs. These include the duration of use, the energy saved and the quality of the light. To this list we can add the fact that these wall packs are less noisy than those with traditional bulbs. Considering that LED bulbs do not need as much airflow as regular bulbs, they are smaller and do not emit as much noise.

LED wall packs also have a disadvantage: they are more expensive than those traditional wall packs and thus require a more substantial investment. But taking into account their longer lifespan and energy efficiency, the investment pays off quickly.

Where you buy LED wall packs? There are different types of LED wall packs you can choose from. A wide and complete range can be found from local or online LED light suppliers and warehouses selling electric products.
